Location: This role requires a US-based candidate. Our hybrid model means no role is fully remote; team and company-wide offsites are hosted throughout the year, and attendance is expected and fully supported.

What you will do

• Design and build scalable backend services and systems for core DVI workflows and future AI-driven capabilities.
• Own complex problem spaces end-to-end, from technical discovery and solution evaluation through delivery.
• Partner with Product to translate customer problems into technical solutions with strong outcomes.
• Evaluate architectural tradeoffs and provide clear recommendations and estimates.
• Ensure performance, reliability, and scalability of systems in production.
• Lead by influence, mentor teammates, and contribute to engineering culture.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems in production environments.
• Deep expertise in backend programming with recent experience in Java and SQL databases.
• Strong data analysis capabilities, including reviewing production data and identifying insights.
• Strong system design skills and a solid foundation in software engineering best practices.
• Ability to work in fast-moving and dynamic environments with high standards and a strong work ethic.
• Strong product sense and communication skills, with experience working cross-functionally and within ambiguity.

Nice to have

• Experience building AI-enabled product experiences.
• Experience with React and Typescript.
• Experience with AWS.
