TL;DR

Cybersecurity Architect (MedTech): Building and optimizing secure architectures for hirify.global's medical devices, integrating security controls from embedded firmware to cloud-connected platforms. Focus on threat modeling, security risk analysis, and translating complex security concepts into practical guidance for engineering teams.

Location: This position is based in Solna, Stockholm, Sweden. It is eligible for a hybrid setup allowing 1-2 days of remote work per week. Occasional travel may be required.

What you will do

• Lead threat modeling and security risk analyses, proposing appropriate security controls.
• Guide the design of secure product architectures for complex medical device systems, covering embedded firmware to cloud platforms.
• Perform security reviews of existing architectures and designs.
• Collaborate with product teams to balance security, safety, and usability requirements.
• Translate regulatory requirements into practical design specifications.
• Educate and mentor development teams on security best practices and build security awareness.

Requirements

• MSc in Computer Science or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience working with security for embedded and IoT systems.
• Proven experience with threat modeling and security risk analysis.
• Strong background in secure architecture and design patterns for embedded and enterprise systems.
• Understanding of embedded systems security (e.g., ARM TrustZone, secure boot, cryptographic implementations).
• Experience in security for SW environments based on Linux, RTOS, Java, or Golang.
• English: C1+ required (fluency in both oral and written English).

Nice to have

• Knowledge of medical device regulations (FDA cybersecurity guidance, IEC 62304, IEC 81001-5-1).
• Experience with secure coding practices and corresponding tool support.
• Proficiency in security testing, fuzzing, and penetration testing, with relevant tool support.
• Fluency in Swedish is meritorious.
