What you will do

• Lead high-impact data science projects, owning the scoping, design, and delivery of models and data context management pipelines.
• Guide technical direction by defining standards, methodologies, and best practices for data science at hirify.global.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to translate ambiguous problems into well-defined data science projects.
• Ensure robust operationalisation by working with Data Engineering and ML Ops to deploy models and monitor performance.
• Mentor and develop the skills and capabilities of data scientists and analysts.
• Stay current with established industry practices and emerging methodologies.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or advanced analytics, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of delivering models and analytics that have driven measurable business or product outcomes.
• Strong technical foundation in statistical analysis, machine learning, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
• Experience in production environments, working closely with Data Engineering and ML Ops to deploy and monitor models.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Hands-on expertise in SQL, Python, and modern ML/analytics libraries; familiarity with cloud environments (preferably Google Cloud) and tools like BigQuery, Vertex AI, and dbt.
