What you will do
- Design, prototype, and collaborate with other Designers and project leadership to ensure systems deliver the desired player experience and achieve project goals.
- Communicate the vision for these features to developers across multiple disciplines, and ensure they have the information needed to implement them quickly and effectively.
- Solicit and integrate feedback from across the team, ensuring the delivery of the best version of the systems to players.
- Create the scripting/data/content required by those systems, iterating from early prototypes to final shippable quality.
- Expand and iterate on those systems once they’re in the live environment, ensuring the game remains exciting and engaging to players over the long term.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience shipping titles as a Systems Designer, working on progression, economy, and/or engagement features and content.
- Experience working on live-service multiplayer environments is preferred.
- Demonstrated talent for empathizing with players and a deep understanding of player motivations, forms of play, and the effects of progression and goal setting on play.
- Strong interest in game progression and economies, and an understanding of what makes them work.
- Able to react quickly to changing project needs, drive decisions, and then own that vision.
