Scrum Master

TL;DR

Scrum Master (Software Development): Supporting successful delivery of Agile squads' goals and product increments, coordinating Product, Engineering, and Business functions with an accent on understanding product content, sprint goals, code reviews, QA activities, and pipeline deployment. Focus on facilitating Scrum ceremonies, supervising squad productivity, resolving blockers, and optimizing team collaboration.

Location: Remote-first within Mauritius, with regular in-person collaboration once per week in the Port Louis office. Schedule must align with CET hours.

What you will do

• Understand hirify.global products, sprint goals, code reviews, QA, and pipeline deployment.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, daily stand-ups, retrospectives).
• Supervise sprint and squad productivity, resolving blockages and prioritizing dependencies.
• Act as a delivery manager, owning sprint goals and optimizing team collaboration.
• Collaborate with the team, developers, and product managers on backlog analysis, task definition, and goal setting.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role.
• A Background in Software Development (you will need to actually understand the product and the content of the tasks you will be working on, and to show curiosity for them, to be able to effectively anticipate risks and coordinate delivery).
• Sound knowledge of an Agile methodology, Kanban, and Scrum ceremonies.
• Solid experience with Project Management tools (such as Asana, Linear, Clickup, Trello, Jira).
• Good understanding of online platforms for collaborative software development and deployment (such as Gitlab or Github).
• Full professional proficiency in English.
• Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
