TL;DR

Technical Data Analyst (Forest Products Compliance): Supporting compliance efforts with international forest product regulations by collecting, validating, and managing product and supplier data with an accent on ensuring traceability and regulatory adherence. Focus on validating geolocation data, performing risk assessments on wood supply chains, and generating audit-ready reports for EUDR, UKTR, and other standards.

Location: Hybrid, commutable to Melksham or London, UK

What you will do

  • Gather and organize product-level data, including HS codes, supplier details, and geolocation coordinates, for hirify.global brands.
  • Validate geolocation data (GeoJSON) for accuracy and completeness using mapping tools and supplier documentation to meet EUDR standards.
  • Manage data within and become an expert in the use of the SAAS system for EUTR/UKTR/EUDR compliance.
  • Review and verify supplier documentation, including legality to harvest, supply chain maps, and sustainability certifications.
  • Post and manage data within internal systems and external platforms, collaborating with IT to automate data flows.
  • Generate audit-ready reports and visualizations using tools like Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Environmental Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, compliance, or supply chain analytics.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools; SQL experience is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of data with accuracy.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate resources on projects to meet deadlines.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse internal and external partners.

Nice to have

  • Experience with traceability platforms or blockchain-based compliance systems.
  • Knowledge of EU regulatory frameworks and domestic/international supply chain operations.
  • Ability to validate GeoJSON files using validation tools.
  • Experience with supplier engagement and onboarding for compliance initiatives.
