What you will do
- Lead business development initiatives to identify and pursue new business opportunities and revenue streams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients to drive business growth.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to develop tailored solutions.
- Develop and manage a pipeline of business opportunities and ensure progress toward revenue goals.
- Define business development strategies and set objectives with senior leadership.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and areas for growth.
- Negotiate and close business agreements and contracts with clients.
- Mentor and guide junior business development staff in best practices.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of progressive experience in business development, sales leadership, or strategic growth roles within FinTech, capital markets, SaaS, or financial services.
- Proven ability to execute and lead, with a track record of driving pipeline/deals and coaching high-performing teams.
- Strong understanding of the buy-side investment ecosystem (asset managers, asset owners, insurers, hedge funds).
- Demonstrated success partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success.
- Experience building, managing, and forecasting pipeline, including setting targets and reporting outcomes.
- Ability to analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and client needs to shape strategies.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with experience mentoring and influencing stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Flexibility to attend hirify.global office 2x/week as per our hybrid policy.
