What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain automation for Windows server environments.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance Chef cookbooks with a strong focus on Windows nodes.
• Use PowerShell scripting to automate system configuration, patching, and operational tasks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve configuration drift and deployment issues in Windows environments.
• Partner with client teams to prioritize and execute against a large DevOps backlog.
• Improve reliability, consistency, and repeatability of Windows infrastructure.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Systems Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience managing Windows Server environments.
• Deep experience with Chef, specifically Chef cookbook development for Windows.
• Advanced PowerShell scripting skills for automation and system management.
• Solid understanding of Windows services, registry, networking, and security concepts.
• Experience working through large backlogs in complex enterprise environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with other configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines supporting infrastructure automation.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
