What you will do
- Work with product management to understand business problems, identify machine learning opportunities, and scope solutions.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis, formulate machine learning problems, and build effective and scalable ML models.
- Partner with data and software engineering teams to deliver solutions into production.
- Develop a deep understanding of data and ML infrastructure.
- Stay current with advances in ML and GenAI to drive innovation within the team.
- Present ideas and results to product management, stakeholders, and leadership teams.
Requirements
- Master’s degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience applying machine learning in production, including dataset creation, feature selection and engineering, model development and optimization, and production deployment.
- Expertise with Python and related machine learning tools, deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch, and SQL-like query languages.
- Strong foundation in Machine Learning fundamentals, statistics, and experimentation.
- Real-world experience working with large data sets in a distributed computing environment such as Spark.
- Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), including fine-tuning, efficient deployment, and architectures.
Nice to have
- Experience working with data analytics platforms such as Databricks.
- Hands-on experience using workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Flyte) to build, schedule, and maintain reliable data and ML pipelines.
