What you will do

• Build and maintain SQL queries and database models (SQL/Snowflake) to extract, validate, and interpret in-game economy data.
• Conduct deep research into existing balancing systems, analytically breaking down and understanding their functions.
• Deliver deep-dive analyses on progression speed, resource flows, sinks/faucets, combat performance, and monetization funnels.
• Build and run simulation models to project the impact of system changes, providing estimates and scenario outcomes.
• Forecast KPIs (e.g., retention, ARPU, ARPPU, LTV) and model long-term player lifecycle scenarios.
• Design and evaluate A/B tests, ensuring statistical significance and clear learnings, and translate raw data into clear recommendations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Game Analyst, Economy Analyst, or Data Analyst in free-to-play live games.
• Proven track record working with in-game economies and progression systems in MMO, 4X, or strategy titles.
• Expert SQL skills: joins, window functions, performance-optimized queries in MySQL/Aurora.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets mastery, including advanced formulas, pivoting, Solver, and scenario modeling.
• Solid understanding of statistical methods: cohorts, churn, retention curves, LTV modeling, and experiment design.
• Excellent communication skills in English and ability to explain complex data in simple, actionable terms.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Python, R, or BI dashboards (Tableau, Power BI).
