TL;DR

DFT Engineer (Mixed-Signal Audio): Defining, implementing, and verifying DFT features for mixed-signal SoCs for consumer mobile audio markets with an accent on memory BIST, scan insertion, and ATPG pattern generation. Focus on improving test coverage, performing gate-level simulations, and supporting silicon bring-up on ATE.

Location: Austin, Texas (Hybrid). Due to export control restrictions, candidates must be able to access technical data without a requirement for an export license. Sponsorship or export licenses are not available for this role.

What you will do

  • Define, implement, and review DFT features within a collaborative team environment.
  • Generate, insert, and verify Memory BIST logic.
  • Perform scan insertion and ATPG pattern generation.
  • Develop and review DFT timing and equivalence checking constraints.
  • Perform MBIST and ATPG pattern verification with gate-level simulations.
  • Identify and improve any test coverage gaps.
  • Deliver MBIST and ATPG patterns to the product test group and support silicon bring-up on the ATE.

Requirements

  • MSEE with 2+ years of experience or BS with relevant industry experience.
  • Strong hands-on working knowledge of ASIC DFT design and verification.
  • Experience in industry standard EDA tools for DFT (e.g., FastScan, TestKompress, TetraMAX, Test Compiler).
  • Must be able to access technical data without a requirement for an export license (US work authorization implied).

Nice to have

  • Experience with Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL.
  • Understanding of low power test techniques and architectures.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or TCL.
  • Experience with synthesis, static timing analysis, and developing timing constraints.
  • Experience with debugging and root causing silicon problems.
