Location: This role can be on site or hybrid from our Nottingham studio, or fully remote within the UK. Our only requirement is that you work from the UK, and if you’re not here right now we can discuss relocation if the role requires you on-site frequently. Relocation support to Nottingham, UK (if required).

What you will do
- Align with Narrative Lead and Director on narrative content goals.
- Take ownership of assigned narrative projects from conception to execution (quests, narrative systems, cinematic moments).
- Design compelling story content and write characterful dialogue and text.
- Collaborate with various departments (Level Design, Game Design, Animation, Art, Audio).
- Mentor more junior narrative designers and support the Narrative Lead.
- Contribute to developing and refining processes, tools, and workflows.
Requirements
- At least 5 years’ experience in Narrative Design.
- Flexible, creative, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Solid understanding of compelling narratives in games and experience creating them through gameplay and quest design.
- Skilled in writing dialogue and adapting writing to desired tone.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality work to deadlines.
- Familiar with the process of making and shipping a game.
- Work from the UK is required.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with action/horror genres.
- Technical proficiency with a game engine or associated tools.
