TL;DR

Location: Onsite in New York, United States

Salary: $220,000–$250,000 USD base salary

What you will do

  • Draft and negotiate a wide range of prime brokerage, trading, and commercial contracts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on building, delivering, and marketing new digital asset products.
  • Support the international expansion of custody, trading, and settlement businesses.
  • Manage legal and regulatory risks in a thoughtful and commercially practicable manner.

Requirements

  • 4-6+ years of legal experience from a law firm and/or in-house at a financial services or crypto company.
  • At least 2 years of experience advising or negotiating against institutional clients at a large law firm or bulge bracket bank.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks, changing deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ability to assess and balance legal risks against business interests.
  • Demonstrated interest in blockchain and digital assets.

Nice to have

  • Experience advising on legal data privacy and security matters (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Understanding of laws and regulations applicable to transaction settlement, clearing, and securities lending.
  • Knowledge of securities and derivatives regulation, and credit extension regulations (Regs T, X and U).
  • Experience with employment law and intellectual property matters.
