Security Analyst (Cloud AWS)

TL;DR
Security Analyst (Cloud AWS): Contributing to the vulnerability management program and ensuring the security of cloud-native AWS infrastructure with an accent on software composition analysis, static application security testing, and cloud security posture management. Focus on analyzing code, tracking and remediating vulnerabilities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Location: Remote, but based in Hungary (with office options in Budapest)

What you will do
- Conduct regular vulnerability scans, analyze results, prioritize, and track remediation efforts.
- Review code and AWS CloudFormation templates for security misconfigurations using SAST and SCA tools.
- Drive comprehensive risk reduction by integrating Application Security Posture Management (ASPM), exposure management, and attack surface management (ASM).
- Utilize AWS security services and CSPM tools to assess and improve infrastructure security.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging vulnerabilities and threats, conducting research and recommending mitigation strategies.
- Actively participate in change management processes and collaborate closely with development, operations, and other security teams.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience in vulnerability management, preferably in cloud security.
- Strong understanding of AWS services and security best practices.
- Ability to read and understand code in common programming languages.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be based in Hungary.
Nice to have
- Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys), SAST, SCA, CSPM, and ASPM tooling.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., AWS CloudFormation), Linux servers, and Logging/SIEM solutions (e.g., Splunk, SumoLogic).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or relevant AWS/cloud security certifications.
