Mid/Senior iOS Developer (HealthTech): Building and enhancing a health-focused iOS application for a Bluetooth-enabled wearable device with an accent on seamless user experience, data synchronization, and real-time processing. Focus on implementing high-quality, scalable code using Swift and SwiftUI, optimizing performance, and integrating with sensor data.

Location: Hybrid in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Must be living in or willing to move to the Netherlands and able to travel 3 times per week to the office in Amsterdam.

What you will do

• Build high-quality, scalable, and efficient iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI.
• Work closely with Bluetooth-enabled wearables to ensure accurate data transmission and synchronization.
• Ensure smooth real-time data processing, low latency, and power efficiency.
• Collaborate with designers, backend, and firmware engineers to create a seamless product experience.
• Design and implement clean, modular, and maintainable code with best practices.
• Write unit and UI tests, debug issues, and optimize app performance.
• Keep up with Apple’s latest technologies, APIs, and best practices.

Requirements

• Expert in Swift & SwiftUI with proficiency in UIKit.
• Deep understanding of Swift concurrency (async/await, Task, actor, Sendable).
• Expert in performance optimization, including profiling with Instruments.
• Deep understanding of SwiftUI performance, view diffing, and reducing unnecessary recomputations.
• Strong proficiency in Combine framework, including publisher design and debugging race conditions.
• Strong expertise in Core Data, including data modeling, migrations, and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of Bluetooth (BLE) communication and handling sensor-based data.
• Experience with real-time data processing and integrating with backend APIs.
• Ability to write efficient, maintainable, and testable code.
• Passion for health-tech, wearable devices, and improving well-being through technology.

Nice to have

• Experience with Core Bluetooth, HealthKit, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with ML models on-device, background processing, or low-power optimization.
