Location: Onsite in Milan, Italy. Candidates from outside Europe will not receive relocation support.

What you will do

• Implement and advocate for resilience patterns such as Feature Flags, Circuit Breakers, and graceful degradation.
• Champion production readiness across the company by setting technical directions and automating processes.
• Collaborate across teams to embed best practices for observability, resilience, and operational excellence.
• Run monthly training workshops on Site Reliability Engineering concepts and author reliability bulletins.
• Enable safer release procedures, like blue-green deployments or canary releases.
• Facilitate and engage in incident reviews, participate in cross-functional squads, and apply Chaos Engineering practices.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with distributed systems, with a knack for quickly understanding unfamiliar services and production patterns.
• Prior experience facilitating Incident Reviews, root cause analysis, and writing post-mortem documents.
• Experience in teaching others or creating developer-focused documentation.
• Good coding skills in languages relevant to our stack (e.g., PHP, Java, Python, Go), with a taste for automating manual processes.
• Empathetic, collaborative, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work onsite in Milan, Italy.
