Salary: $78,500 - $145,200 USD annually

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain custom tools and scripts for game asset creation in DCC software.
• Develop and maintain import/export pipelines for digital assets, validators, and automation.
• Create and maintain various REST APIs for current and future studio needs.
• Provide technical support for team members working on digital assets.
• Write and maintain documentation for systems developed by the team.
• Cooperate closely with the core assets pipeline team and provide support for existing tools.

Requirements

• Knowledge of at least one 3D animation package: Maya, MotionBuilder, or Blender, with openness to learning all.
• Proficiency in Python, focused on tool and script development for DCC software.
• Proficiency with version control systems such as Git and Perforce.
• Experience with Qt and Rez.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Work hybrid from Boston office or remote within specific US states (California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Houdini and C++.
• Experience with web technologies such as React, REST APIs, and TypeScript.
• Knowledge of Unreal Engine 5 and general game engine architecture.
• Prior experience in the game development industry.
• Experience with SQL databases, including use of SQLAlchemy ORM.
