What you will do

• Recruit, mentor, and retain top engineering talent, setting a high bar for the team.
• Drive projects from design to production, focusing on on-time delivery and high quality.
• Collaborate across engineering, product, SRE, and architecture teams to align priorities and deliver outcomes.
• Champion operational excellence, establishing a culture of observability, reliability, and quality.
• Provide hands-on code reviews, architecture guidance, and debugging support.
• Support managed product uptime through stand-by, on-call, or off-hours duties.

Requirements

• 2+ years as an Engineering Manager or Technical Lead, managing high-performing teams, specifically in product-facing platforms or SaaS foundations.
• Strong technical foundation with prior experience as a Tech Lead or Staff+ engineer building backend systems.
• Deep experience running production systems with on-call rotations and managing on-call as an EM.
• Proven track record of hiring, developing, and retaining strong engineers across all levels.
• Skilled at cross-team collaboration, driving alignment, and communicating technical tradeoffs.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, scalable and highly available system design.
