Senior DevSecOps Engineer (iGaming)

TL;DR

Senior DevSecOps Engineer (iGaming/AWS): Embedding security practices and services across AWS cloud platforms with an accent on secure design, monitoring, and vulnerability management throughout the SDLC. Focus on designing and operating secure-by-default cloud platforms, detecting/responding to security events, and driving remediation in collaboration with development teams.

Location: Hybrid role, based in Sliema, Malta.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and maintain secure AWS environments, utilizing services like EC2, S3, IAM, ECS, EKS, MSK, and RDS.
• Implement proactive security monitoring and alerting using AWS Security Hub, CloudTrail, Config, GuardDuty, and Inspector.
• Coordinate vulnerability scanning and patch management activities to reduce security risks.
• Support the Information Security team during security incidents, including participating in a 24/7 on-call roster.
• Collaborate with architects and development teams to embed security controls and advocate for automation.

Requirements

• Strong experience as a DevSecOps Engineer with a focus on security in AWS.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS services, security capabilities, and operational best practices.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, Ansible, and GitHub Advanced Security.
• Understanding of security frameworks and standards such as OWASP, NIST, and CIS, applied to AWS and Kubernetes.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams.
