TL;DR

Senior Operations Engineer (AI & Automation): Designing and delivering automated, data-driven solutions for supply chain compliance management with an accent on intelligent workflows, orchestration, and LLM-assisted services. Focus on building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines, integrating AI-powered automations via APIs and webhooks, and ensuring measurable efficiency gains.

Location: Hybrid working mode with up to 3 months of the year work from anywhere. Must have a continuous work permit in Spain or Germany and be able to commute to our Barcelona or Frankfurt office a couple of times a week, if needed. Open to relocating to Spain or Germany.

What you will do

• Partner with business teams to identify high-impact transformation opportunities through AI and automation, defining problems, metrics, feasibility, and ROI.
• Map, document, and analyze current processes, systems, and data flows to surface bottlenecks and propose scalable workflows and tooling.
• Design and deliver end-to-end solutions, including intelligent routing, workflow orchestration, and AI-powered automations integrated via APIs and webhooks.
• Establish quality, performance, and safety monitoring, ensuring compliant data use and vendor management.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering and BI to design ingestion and transformation pipelines using dbt and LLM-powered workflows in Python.
• Act as a catalyst for continuous improvement, driving operational excellence through innovation and simplification.

Requirements

• Strong Python and SQL skills for automation, data transformation, and system integration.
• Proven experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using dbt or similar frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with workflow automation tools (Make, Airflow, n8n, Zapier).
• Familiarity with integrating APIs and webhooks to automate cross-system workflows.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Strong process-mapping and optimization mindset with a focus on measurable efficiency gains.
• Excellent collaboration, stakeholder communication, and ownership across technical and business teams.
• Continuous work permit in Spain or Germany required.
• Comfortable working in English.
