TL;DR

(Senior) Commercial Counsel (Fintech): Leading end-to-end sales contract lifecycle for the Americas and building US legal operations with an accent on drafting and negotiating high-stakes MSAs, SaaS agreements, DPAs, and NDAs. Location: Onsite in New York Office, US

What you will do

  • Own the end-to-end sales contract lifecycle for the Americas, drafting and negotiating MSAs, SaaS agreements, DPAs, and NDAs.
  • Design and implement hirify.global’s US sales-legal workflow, including creating playbooks and self-service tools.
  • Lead legal strategy for reseller and partner ecosystems to ensure robust and compliant indirect sales channels.
  • Review and negotiate key vendor and technology agreements.
  • Advise on US privacy laws, AI and automated decision-making regulations, and financial services requirements.
  • Coordinate with German HQ regarding IP licensing and intercompany agreements.

Requirements

  • JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
  • 5+ years of experience in tech transactions, with significant time spent in-house at a high-growth SaaS or Fintech company.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US.

Nice to have

  • Understanding of credit risk, lending data, and regulatory scrutiny in Fintech.
  • Ability to implement CLM and automate routine legal tasks.
