Salary: $147,000–$183,000 USD

What you will do

• Develop highly available, secure, distributed systems within a microservice architecture.
• Design and maintain systems representing real-world logistics entities like shipments, cargo, containers, and global trade documents.
• Collaborate closely with business partners, product managers, and operations teams to translate complex problems into technical solutions.
• Ship code to production dozens of times per day within a close-knit engineering team.
• Ensure high system reliability and quality by obsessing over metrics and applying key learnings from post-mortems.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience with a strong engineering background.
• 2+ years of experience in system design and architecture, including familiarity with OOA/OOD and design patterns.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Ruby, Python, TypeScript, or C++).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• A "bias for action" mindset and an aptitude for learning quickly.

Nice to have

• Experience building large-scale, high-performance systems in a multi-tiered, distributed environment.
• Understanding of performance tradeoffs, load balancing, and operational issues.
• Ability to convey technical ideas in common terms to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
