Senior Data Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Data Engineer: Develop, design, test, and migrate ETL workflows with an accent on security and data encryption for a major credit card company. Focus on resolving functional and performance/scalability issues, writing testable code, and collaborating within a cross-functional development team.

Location: Remote or on-site in Wroclaw or Gdansk office in Poland.

What you will do

• Develop, design, test, and migrate ETL workflows.
• Diagnose and resolve functional and performance/scalability issues.
• Write highly testable, automatable, and performant code throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Develop products and deliver features and updates based on the product roadmap.
• Participate in team activities, including daily meetings, planning, and retrospectives.

Requirements

• Expertise in AWS Glue, RDS, S3, Redshift, Step Functions, Databricks, Spark, Python, and SQL.
• Experience with AWS Cloud (5+ years).
• Experience with SQL (3+ years).
• Experience with Python/PySpark (3+ years).
• Proven experience in technical design and development as part of a team.
• Fluent or upper-intermediate English speaking and writing skills are essential.

• Experience with other data-driven technologies.
