What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain AI behaviors and systems using Unreal Engine’s Behavior Trees, EQS, and custom C++ logic.
• Collaborate with designers to translate gameplay requirements into responsive, intelligent AI behaviors.
• Optimize AI performance across a range of systems and gameplay scenarios.
• Debug and resolve complex AI-related issues, ensuring stability and performance.
• Work closely with the broader programming team to integrate AI seamlessly with gameplay systems.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an AI Programmer or Gameplay Programmer with a focus on AI in Unreal Engine projects.
• Strong proficiency in Unreal Engine’s AI systems (Behavior Trees, EQS) and C++ programming.
• Solid understanding of AI architecture, pathfinding, state machines, and decision-making systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
• Prior work with agile development teams, Jira or similar task tracking tools, Google Workplace tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with multiplayer AI synchronization and network considerations.
• Familiarity with perception systems, navigation meshes, and crowd simulation.
• Knowledge of machine learning or procedural generation techniques is a plus.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
