What you will do

• Develop secure, well-tested, and performant frontend and backend features and improvements.
• Craft code meeting internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices.
• Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance.
• Fix prioritized bugs from the bug backlog.
• Solve challenging technical problems of high complexity.
• Propose and implement solutions for technical debt.

Requirements

• Several years of prior experience building frontend and backend elements of web applications with Ruby on Rails.
• Solid understanding of core web, browser, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Ruby-on-Rails, and Angular concepts.
• Working knowledge of when and how to make your code scale effectively.
• Comfortable with working in a highly agile, intensely iterative software development process.
• Experience in owning a project from concept to production, including proposal, discussion, and execution.
• Effective communication skills to achieve consensus with peers and provide clear status updates in a remote setting.
• Proficient in the English language (both written and verbal).
• Passionate about open source software development.
