Fullstack Developer (Ruby on Rails, Angular)

Location: Remote within a 2-hour time zone difference from Berlin, Germany

What you will do

• Develop frontend and backend features and improvements to hirify.global in a secure, well-tested, and performant way.
• Craft and advocate for internal code standards through code review.
• Advocate for product quality, security, and performance improvements.
• Fix prioritized bugs listed in our bug backlog.
• Solve challenging technical problems of high complexity.
• Propose and implement solutions for technical debt.

Requirements

• Several years of prior experience building frontend and backend elements of web applications with Ruby on Rails.
• Solid understanding of core web and browser concepts, CSS, semantic HTML, JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, and Angular.
• Working knowledge of when and how to make your code scale effectively.
• Comfortable with working in a highly agile, intensely iterative software development process.
• Experience in owning a project from concept to production, including proposal, discussion, and execution.
• Proficient in English (both written and verbal) for success in a remote and asynchronous work environment.
• Passion for open source software development.

Nice to have

• German language skills are a plus.
