Product Tech Lead (Ruby on Rails): Owning new product initiatives end-to-end for open-source project management software with an accent on turning product vision into reality and bridging software engineering, product management, and leadership. Focus on bringing clarity to undefined paths, shaping the roadmap, and ensuring technical soundness aligned with user needs through rapid prototyping and cross-functional collaboration.
Location: Remote in a location within 2 hours (time-zone) from Berlin, Germany.

What you will do
- Own new product initiatives end-to-end from problem definition to launch, including user research, concept development, and continuous improvement.
- Shape the product roadmap by evaluating and prioritizing ideas based on company strategy.
- Bridge disciplines by translating between users, clients, and your team, thinking like a product manager and acting like an engineer.
- Build quick prototypes yourself and collaborate closely with engineers and stakeholders.
- Communicate clearly and proactively in a remote-first environment, tailoring communication to different audiences.
- Collaborate across functions with Sales, Marketing, UX/UI, QA, and leadership.
Requirements
- Proven experience building and launching digital products end-to-end.
- Strong product mindset, caring deeply about why and for whom you build.
- Senior-level experience in software engineering, ideally with Ruby on Rails, having built and maintained complex full-stack web applications.
- Experience applying product management methodologies and practices such as Agile, user research, design thinking, or rapid prototyping.
- Ability to quickly prototype ideas and collaborate with developers on equal footing.
- Strong written communication skills and fluency in English is a must-have.
- Leadership that fosters psychological safety, constructive challenge, and DEIB principles.

- Fluent in German.
