Ptolemay is a full-cycle outsourcing IT company specializing in the development of mobile and web applications for businesses and startups. We are looking for a Middle/Middle+ Python Developer for an outstaff project in the health tech domain.

Project Description:
The main task is to develop a backend for a native iOS (iPad only) application in the health tech domain. The solution will also use Strapi CMS for content management. The mobile client may work offline for long periods and should be able to sync data and upload logs/files to the cloud once an internet connection is available.

Technology: Python + FastAPI, PostgreSQL, AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC basics), Docker, CI/CD basics

Responsibilities
• Develop REST APIs for the iOS application
• Design data model and synchronization friendly API behavior (idempotency, conflict handling)
• Integrate with Strapi and third party services
• Implement file uploads and background jobs / asynchronous processing
• Set up and maintain AWS environments (no dedicated DevOps role)

Requirements (Must have):
• 4+ years of experience as Python developer
• Strong hands on experience with Python/FastAPI
• English B2+ (direct calls with customer technical team)
• Confident with PostgreSQL and SQL
• Practical experience with AWS deployments
• Understanding of authentication and backend security basics
Nice to have
• Experience with offline first sync scenarios
• Monitoring and logging practices (observability)
• Experience with health tech products or data sensitive domains
