Chief Engineer

TL;DR

Chief Engineer (Flight Simulator Programs): Leading and coordinating technical program execution over Integrated Product Teams for engineering content on flight simulator programs with an accent on program peer & gate reviews and Cost Account Management (CAM) reviews. Focus on coordinating technical activity amongst the program IPTs and ensuring technical, cost and schedule performance.

Location: Must be a U.S. Citizen and based in Arlington, TX

What you will do

• Manage large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, involving large cross-functional teams.
• Act as the technical lead over the assigned engineering team on a program, including leading/participating in program peer & gate reviews and supporting program management reviews (PMRs).
• Coordinate technical activity amongst the program IPTs.
• Perform weekly/monthly Cost Account Management (CAM) reviews with IPTs and is responsible for technical, cost and schedule performance for the engineering content on a program.
• Communicate within and outside of the organization, including customers or vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Sciences.
• 8+ years of USG/DoD development program experience.
• 3+ years of Engineering Lead experience in USG/DoD development programs.
• 3+ years of experience with IBM/Rational or Atlassian development and collaboration tools, DOORS, Earned Value Management (EVM), and Microsoft Project.
• Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
• Must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Nice to have

• Advanced Master’s Degree in an engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience within the training and simulation industry.
• 3+ years of experience performing as liaison between program management, engineering management, and the technical disciplines involved in a project.
• 3+ years of experience performing as primary technical interface with USG/DoD customers.
