What you will do
- Interpret weekly online meetings between English and Japanese clients.
- Translate, proofread, and edit in-game content from English to Japanese.
- Implement translated text into games and perform Language Quality Assurance (LQA).
- Translate and localize marketing content, including commercial videos and social media.
- Perform other document translations related to internal projects.
Requirements
- JLPT N1 or Native Japanese level required.
- Business or above level in English (TOEIC 800+ preferred).
- 3+ years of working experience as an English <> Japanese interpreter in any industry.
Nice to have
- Work experience in game development or operations, especially LQA.
- 2+ years experience as EN<>JA translator/interpreter in video games or entertainment.
- In-depth knowledge of LQA related software and tools.
- UI/UX localization knowledge.
- Experience with CAT tools (Trados, Memo Q, Memsource, etc.).
- Work experience in Japan or Japanese companies.
- Fluency in other languages (writing and reading).
