Graduate Validation Engineer (Mixed Signal Audio): Developing and executing pre-silicon emulation and post-silicon validation tests for groundbreaking Mixed Signal Audio chips with an accent on developing automated test frameworks, debugging silicon issues, and ensuring product functionality and performance. Focus on designing PCB schematics, performing circuit simulations, and collaborating with design and systems engineers to understand requirements and use cases.

What you will do
- Develop and execute bench level tests according to the validation plan during pre-silicon and post-silicon phases.
- Develop validation plans for IP and chip-level test cases from datasheets and in consultation with design and systems engineers.
- Develop automated test framework and regression test suites in Python, MATLAB, and/or LabVIEW.
- Collaborate closely with IC Design engineers, System engineers, and Application engineers to understand requirements and use cases.
- Perform circuit simulation to support board design and design PCB schematics.
- Debug analog/digital silicon issues, board issues, and Validation software/hardware tools issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related subject areas.
- Proven background in areas such as FPGA-based emulation, synthesis, Verilog, pre- and/or post-silicon validation, or mixed-signal IP block design/validation.
- Solid hands-on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and audio analyzers for measurement and debugging.
- Sound electrical engineering knowledge in analog, digital, power electronics, or audio engineering.
- Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- You must be able to access technical data without a requirement for an export license.
Nice to have
- Experience in audio related signal processing, power management, and algorithm development.
- Experience using simulation tools such as LTSpice to support circuit design.
- Experience in various automation framework hardware tools (FPGA, DSP, NI Data Acquisition) or software tools/languages (C, Python, SQL, NI Teststand, Spotfire).
- Proficiency in system understanding of various industry interface standards such as I2C, SPI, USB, I2S, TDM.
- Experience in version control tools such as Git, SVN, and Perforce.
