Senior Frontend Developer (React & Redux)

Senior Frontend Developer (React & Redux): Designing, developing, and implementing modern JavaScript-based in-browser applications with an accent on architecture qualities like usability, accessibility, and performance. Focus on collaborating with cross-functional teams, peer code reviews, and mentoring junior developers within an agile environment.

Location: Offer only for candidates based in Malaysia. Hybrid work model in Kuala Lumpur (3 times a week in the office).

What you will do

• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, users & product owners to understand application capabilities.
• Design, develop, test, implement, and support end-to-end software solutions within an agile team.
• Take ownership of the architecture qualities of front-end applications (usability, accessibility, performance).
• Actively collaborate with geographically-dispersed, cross-functional teams to define & maintain APIs.
• Perform hands-on development, envision new front-end projects, conduct peer code reviews, and mentor junior developers.
• Swiftly craft rough prototypes (proofs of concepts) to illustrate design ideas & solution drafts.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of professional experience as a front-end JavaScript developer.
• Practical experience with React & Redux is essential.
• 3+ years in designing and building SPA applications using an application building framework / library (main focus: React, NextJS, nice to have: Vue, Angular etc.).
• Proficiency with modern JavaScript development toolset (“build” tools, packaging, linting, transpilers).
• Practical proficiency with statically typed languages, especially TypeScript.
• Practical proficiency with testing strategies and technologies, especially React Testing Library and Cypress.
• Experience working with MicroFrontends and Monorepo.
• Fluency in English required.

Nice to have

• Confirmed project track of building enterprise-grade, Internet-facing web applications for business users (CI/CD, security, RESTful Web API design, HTTP in-depth, i18n).
• Experience working with RTK Query, React Query, Redux Saga.
• Experience working with Design System, Accessibility, Responsiveness.
