TL;DR
Senior Staff System Validation Engineer (PCIe/Ethernet): Developing silicon validation plans and conducting post-silicon system bring-up, functional validation, and performance studies with an accent on PCIe and Ethernet technologies and test automation. Focus on identifying root causes, resolving issues, and delivering comprehensive validation reports for next-generation high-speed connectivity solutions.
Location: This position requires working **onsite** in **Santa Clara, CA**. Additionally, access to technology and/or software is subject to **U.S. export control laws and regulations**, meaning applicants must be eligible to access export-controlled information as defined under applicable law.
Salary: $127,630 – $191,200 per annum

What you will do
- Develop silicon validation plans based on product design specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct post-silicon system bring-up, function validations, interop, and performance studies.
- Implement test automation scripts for DUT and various test equipment including traffic generators and protocol analyzers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and resolve issues found during post-silicon validation.
- Deliver comprehensive, customer-friendly validation reports detailing test setup, procedures, and results.
- Support and resolve customer-reported issues related to product performance and integrity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering with 5-10 years, or Master’s degree with 3-5 years of related professional experience.
- Good understanding of **PCIe specification** in physical, data link, and transaction layers.
- Strong working experience with **PCIe Gen6 system-level silicon bring-up and validation**, including protocol compliance.
- Must have strong **C/C++ and Python** programming skills.
- Must have excellent problem-solving skills and be willing to work in a multi-tasking, fast-paced team environment.

Nice to have
- Experience with PCIe re-timer validation.
- Working experience with Linux and Windows OS and cross-platform compatibility.
- Knowledge of Electrical engineering, Ethernet protocol, and DSP.
