Optical Engineer, Senior Staff

Salary: $134,390 - $201,300 per annum

What you will do

• Lead engineering design, process development, and productization for optics DCI product lines.
• Contribute to the development of next-generation optical components.
• Implement creative design solutions to accelerate photonics products.
• Collaborate with CAD, foundry process, and cross-functional teams (Digital/Analog Circuit designers, Signal/Power Integrity, system design).
• Work with large data sets, perform statistical analysis, and present findings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with 5+ years of professional experience (or Master’s/PhD with 3+ years).
• 3+ years of experience with Photonics components or Photonic integrated circuits.
• Strong understanding of silicon photonics, semiconductor physics, optical component design, fabrication, and test.
• Direct experience with standard Si/CMOS/MEMS process technologies for electrical and optical device fabrication and 2.5/3D integration.
• Proven experience with semiconductor optical devices (e.g., high-speed photodetectors, modulators, integrated waveguide devices).
• Proficiency in optical and electronic modeling/simulation software for electro-optical device design and GDS mask data generation.
