Salary: CAD 5,120–6,720 per month (32–42 CAD per hour)

What you will do

• Collaborate with senior engineers to research and develop algorithms in areas such as digital communications, signal processing, and detection/estimation theory.
• Support simulation and modeling efforts using MATLAB, Python, or C/C++ to evaluate system performance and validate design concepts.
• Assist in the exploration and implementation of machine learning techniques, including supervised and reinforcement learning, for applications in SerDes systems, adaptive filtering, and clock recovery.

Requirements

• Must be currently pursuing an MS or PhD degree (PhD preferred) in CS/EE or related technical field(s).
• Excellent research and development experience in Probability Theory, Detection and Estimation, Digital Communications, Digital Signal Processing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, MATLAB, or Python.
• Very good verbal and written communication skills.
• Applicants must be eligible to access export-controlled information as defined under applicable U.S. export control laws and regulations.

• Knowledge of SerDes systems.
• Knowledge of reinforcement learning and supervised learning.
• Experience in adaptive filters, equalization, and clock recovery.
