Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

TL;DR

Senior DevOps Engineer: Responsible for daily technical operations, application management, and support for hirify.global services, with an accent on designing, planning, and deploying changes for operational excellence and implementing new solutions for testing, deployment, and maintenance. Focus on leading implementation projects, managing incoming issues, incident solving, and enhancing processes and automation within a geographically distributed team.

Location: Hybrid (at least twice a week in office) in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Philippines. Must be amenable to work APAC shift and weekend on call (rotational).

What you will do

• Manage daily technical operations, application management, and support for hirify.global provided services, including 24/7 technical operations and application support.
• Handle incidents for internal and external customers and install application updates.
• Maintain operational documentation and procedures.
• Design, plan, and deploy changes to existing systems for operational excellence.
• Implement new solutions to enhance testing, deployment, maintenance, and operation processes.
• Lead projects and independently carry out parts of large implementation projects.
• Participate in all application activities, including issue handling, incident solving, requirements, and launching new releases, enhancing processes and automation.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar.
• At least 5+ years of experience from working with AWS and Cloud, DevOps, System Administration, Network, or Application Operations.
• Excellent knowledge and experience in AWS services and architecture.
• Proven expertise in Linux/Unix.
• Strong experience with Terraform.
• Proven experience with Kubernetes (EKS/EKS-A).
• Extensive knowledge to design and create CI/CD pipelines and extensive experience in Git/GitLab.
• Proven knowledge in scripting and automation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to document technical solutions.
• The ability to learn hirify.global own systems combined with a great work ethic.
• Amenable to work APAC shift, weekend on call (rotational), and work at least twice a week in the hirify.global office at Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
