Lead User Experience Designer

TL;DR

Lead User Experience Designer: Defining the experience architecture for clients' digital products, combining UX and analytical skills to drive ideas from conception to execution with an accent on delivering wireframes, interactive prototypes, user flows, and usability test plans. Focus on leading feature design, balancing creative and business requirements, and mentoring junior team members.

Location: Requires working from an office a minimum of 3 days a week in San Jose, Costa Rica

What you will do

• Design holistic systems, flows, and interfaces through detailed wireframes, visual compositions, and prototypes.
• Provide guidance, leadership, and support to other UX designers and the project team.
• Lead discussions with stakeholders regarding feature design, using an organized and methodical approach.
• Balance creative requirements with client business requirements.
• Manage time effectively and execute according to commitments.
• Anticipate upcoming client and team needs, identify risks, and mitigate appropriately.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of related industry experience in UX, product design, or information technology.
• 2-4 years of experience in a senior UX designer or equivalent role.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven leadership of projects from concept to completion.
• High proficiency in tools such as Figma, Keynote, Powerpoint, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• A portfolio demonstrating creative thinking, problem solving, process, and quality across various digital platforms.

Nice to have

• Familiarity/experience working with WCAG 2.0 A/AA standards.
