What you will do

• Implement creative solutions to accelerate photonics product design and tape-out.
• Qualify components/integrated circuits and manage production transfer.
• Collaborate with CAD, foundry process, circuit design, and system design teams.
• Provide technical leadership for photonics design flows and automation using industry-standard EDA software.
• Evaluate, select, support, and develop new EDA tools, PDK, and CAD flows.
• Lead engineering design and productization efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or related with 5-10 years of experience; or Master’s/PhD with 3-5 years of experience.
• Strong understanding of silicon photonics, semiconductor physics, optical component design, fabrication, and test.
• Proven experience in semiconductor optical devices (waveguide devices, detectors, modulators).
• Hands-on experience with optical bench-top validation setups, data analysis, and device characterization.
• Experience with optical/electronic modeling and simulation software for electro-optical devices and GDS mask data generation.
• Familiarity/direct experience with standard Si/CMOS/MEMS process technologies.
