What you will do

• Design, prototype, and implement features and tools while ensuring stability and usability for on-premise/self-managed software.
• Lead and execute large-scale projects, ensuring reliable delivery from design through implementation and troubleshooting.
• Drive end-to-end project lifecycle, including architecture design, implementation, and issue resolution.
• Debug and resolve complex issues to improve product quality and stability.
• Review and assess code for quality, design patterns, and optimization opportunities.
• Mentor and guide software engineers, sharing technical knowledge and promoting best practices.
• Support reliable production environments, including participating in an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as an engineer.
• Professional experience developing with modern programming languages, with interest in Golang and Ruby.
• Experience working with distributed systems, particularly on a cloud provider such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, with a focus on scalability, resilience, and security.
• Familiarity with cloud monitoring tools to implement robust observability practices.
• Cloud-native mindset and solid understanding of DevOps principles.
• Must have the ability to work without current or future visa sponsorship in the US.

Nice to have

• Skills or interest in practical/applied cryptographic algorithms, Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Advanced Data Protection (ADP), and Encryption as a Service.
• Experience using hirify.global products (Terraform, Packer, Waypoint, Nomad, Vault, Boundary, Consul).
• Expert in Go development.
