What you will do
- Partner with teams across the Player Platform organization to solve challenging technical problems.
- Design, build, and operate microservices for managing virtual assets and progression systems within Riot’s games.
- Work with teams to design, prototype, build, and ship new features.
- Be part of a rotational on-call schedule for live product and internal customer support.
- Work with technical and non-technical customers to understand their requirements and design solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or a related field, or relevant professional experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on programming experience.
- Willingness and desire to learn how to build and operate highly scalable services in Java, Kotlin, and/or GoLang.
- Familiarity with distributed system architectures and with maintaining large scale cloud services.
- English: B2 required.
Nice to have
- Professional experience with Java based services.
- Experience with storage technologies such as MySQL, Amazon Aurora.
- Understand networking - HTTP down to the network layer (TCP/IP, routing, etc).
- Familiarity with Cloud Platform providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
