TL;DR

Principal Software Engineer (FinTech): Designing and implementing highly distributed and scalable backend services for a financial technology platform with an accent on performance, reliability, and security. Focus on developing new frameworks for 3-Tier architecture and cloud optimization, and resolving complex production issues at scale.

Location: Hybrid role, requiring 2 days a week from the office in Bad Homburg, Germany. Remote work is permitted for other days.

What you will do

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement highly distributed and scalable systems.
  • Develop and maintain backend services, ensuring performance and reliability.
  • Contribute to server tier development, delivering new frameworks for 3-Tier architecture and cloud migration.
  • Translate business logic into readable and maintainable code.
  • Focus on software security aspects and help teams improve in this area.
  • Investigate and resolve complex production service issues.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in C#.
  • Extensive experience in designing and building large-scale distributed systems.
  • Solid background in backend development with a focus on performance, reliability, efficiency, and scale-out.
  • Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms, with proficient testing, debugging, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex production service issues at scale.
  • Efficient English communication skills, both written and verbal.
