Professional Services Intern (Incident Response)

TL;DR

Professional Services Intern (Incident Response): Gaining experience across hirify.global's Services business with an accent on incident response, infrastructure, and forensics. Focus on practical application of cybersecurity tools, log analysis, and understanding proactive security operations and project management in complex incident handling.

Location: Remote with one day a week in the London office. Successful applicants will be invited to travel to London approximately once every four weeks (at hirify.global’s expense) for team collaboration. Must be eligible to work in the UK.

What you will do

• Gain experience in infrastructure, including networking and Active Directory fundamentals.
• Work with hirify.global Falcon Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP) and Falcon Forensics Collector (FFC).
• Perform Windows, Linux, and Cloud forensics, including log analysis and supertimelining.
• Participate in proactive services such as Red Team Operations and Cybersecurity Maturity Assessments.
• Develop skills in incident response reporting and client communication for complex incidents.
• Undertake a rigorous incident response course and work on mock engagements.

Requirements

• Working towards a BA/BSc/BEng or MA/MSci/MEng undergraduate degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Forensics, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Must be in the penultimate year of an undergraduate programme, scheduled to graduate Summer 2027 or December 2026.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK.

Nice to have

• Investigative mindset and desire to keep up with latest vulnerabilities.
• Comfortable with command-line interfaces (Windows, Linux, macOS).
• Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python).
• Knowledge of forensic analysis methodology for Windows systems.
• Acquainted with log analysis tools (Splunk, ELK).
