Senior Automation Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Automation Engineer (QA Testing): Ensuring high-quality software delivery through strong automation practices with an accent on test automation and TDD/BDD approaches. Focus on building scalable testing solutions embedded in modern CI/CD pipelines and improving existing and legacy solutions.

Location: Elastic hybrid from Kraków (2 days per week from the office)

Salary: 800 - 1050 PLN / md + VAT (B2B contract)

What you will do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test new features and improve existing and legacy functionality.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated tests using Reqnroll/SpecFlow, Playwright, Selenium, Postman, and Swagger.
• Analyse business, technical, and non-functional requirements and contribute to story estimation and test strategy.
• Develop and execute automated test suites with high regression and automation coverage.
• Integrate and maintain automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience as a QA Automation Engineer in a modern software development environment.
• Strong experience with C# / .NET.
• Solid knowledge of REST APIs and API testing strategies.
• Hands-on experience with BDD, with a strong preference for automation over manual testing.
• Deep understanding of the Test Pyramid (unit, integration, E2E).
• Experience running automated tests in CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to have

• Experience in the payments domain or working with PCI DSS–compliant systems.
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, and LocalStack.
• Experience with performance and non-functional testing.
• Knowledge of testing highly available, scalable, business-critical systems.
