SDE II (Fullstack)

TL;DR

SDE II (Fullstack): Leading the delivery of high-impact, large-scale features and systems across UI and backend for remittance products with an accent on architectural definition, scalability, performance, and security. Focus on mentoring the team, driving technical direction, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to shape the product roadmap.

Location: Hybrid, based in Mumbai, India (3 days per week in the office)

What you will do

• Lead delivery of high-impact, large-scale features and systems, from UI through backend into production.
• Define and evolve architecture, including UI/UX patterns (Next.js/React) and backend services (Java/Node.js).
• Handle non-functional requirements such as scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Mentor and guide team members while remaining hands-on in code reviews and module design.
• Collaborate across Product, UX, QA, and DevOps teams to craft the product roadmap.
• Continuously raise the bar by proposing new frameworks, tools, and infrastructure improvements.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of full-stack software development with real ownership.
• Proven track record of delivering production systems (UI + backend + services) end-to-end.
• Comfortable leading technical design discussions, making trade-offs, and owning architecture decisions.
• Strong debugging and profiling skills to ensure performant, reliable, and resilient code.
• Deep experience in React and Next.js (or equivalent SSR/SPA frameworks).
• Strong with Java (Spring Boot, microservices) and/or Node.js services.
• Knowledge of both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB/Redis) databases.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP; knowledge of CI/CD, containerization, and service orchestration.
• Awareness of distributed systems (service-oriented architecture, API design, caching, scaling, reliability).
• Advocate for quality through unit, integration, e2e, and performance testing.
• Excellent technical and non-technical communication, mentoring, and influencing skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript (especially on the frontend) and backend Node.js.
• Familiar with serverless architectures or edge computing.
• Built SaaS/B2B platforms or handled multi-tenant systems.
• Experience with UX/performance metrics and frontend optimizations.
• Familiar with modern CI/CD pipelines, IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation), and monitoring/tracing tools.
