Focus on leading end-to-end certification of physical and virtual cards and tracking every scheme bulletin to deliver rule, fee and interchange changes.

Location: Based in Malta or open to relocation (full relocation package provided).

What you will do

• Secure and maintain scheme licences, BINs and product codes for all issuing lines (Visa, Mastercard, Discover) across Europe and APAC.
• Lead end-to-end certification of physical and virtual cards, including chip profile, tokenisation (Apple Pay / Google Pay) and mobile wallet compliance.
• Track every scheme bulletin; deliver rule, fee and interchange changes before deadline, achieving zero compliance breaches.
• Act as single point of contact with scheme account teams.
• Orchestrate vendors (processor, personalisation bureau) so card launches hit quality gates and go-live dates.
• Publish clear internal manuals, SLAs and training decks so Ops, Risk and Product teams stay scheme-ready at all times.

Requirements

• 6 years’ experience in card issuing, network compliance, or scheme management roles at a fintech, bank, or processor.
• Deep expertise in card scheme operations, certifications, rule tracking, and BIN/product management.
• Proven ability to work across regions (especially Europe and APAC) and manage relationships with Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or similar.
• Strong project management skills and attention to detail—especially around regulatory or technical compliance deadlines.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and vendor management skills.
• Based in Malta or open to relocation (full relocation package provided).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with card personalisation, mobile wallet provisioning, and EMV certifications.
