Salary: $165,000–$205,000 USD

What you will do

• Contribute to the architectural design of complex software projects, covering both backend systems and frontend user interfaces.
• Build and maintain features, bridging the gap between backend infrastructure and the frontend user experience.
• Rearchitect and optimize existing systems to support significant user growth.
• Execute software projects in a predictable and timely manner, considering security, privacy, and testing.
• Work across the stack using TypeScript, React, Python, FastAPI, and SQL databases on cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
• Participate in agile development processes, including regular team updates and peer code reviews.

Requirements

• 4+ years of industry experience building complex software.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
• Full-stack expertise, with significant experience in both backend (e.g., Python) and frontend (e.g., TypeScript/React) development.
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency with SQL databases.
• Experience contributing to the design of complex software systems, with an understanding of architectural patterns and best practices.
• Ability to work independently and proactively to solve complex problems with excellent attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Experience with scalable distributed data processing.
• Experience with AWS Lambda/Cloud functions, GCP pub/sub.
• Experience with cloud automation and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation/CDK.
• Experience with server-side rendering, web accessibility, or modern frontend testing frameworks.
• Experience in the electric power industry.
