Focus on architecting and implementing the next iteration of the reporting platform, expanding metrics, increasing configurability, and customizing reporting experiences.

Location: Remote (US based applicants only)

Salary: $126,480 – $175,000 annually + equity + benefits

What you will do

• Build scalable, reliable, and performant backend services that power client reporting experiences.
• Drive architectural discussions and document technical decisions through RFCs.
• Constantly improve project quality via code contributions and long-term advocacy for larger-scale changes.
• Partner with Product Management and Design to meet user needs without sacrificing quality.
• Implement tests and monitors to prevent regressions and catch production errors.
• Become an SME for the team’s backend systems, mentoring other engineers.
• Occasionally contribute to frontend development by implementing new UI reports and features.

Requirements

• 5+ years professional experience with web technologies, working on a single application long enough to see the consequences of decisions.
• Experience on full-stack product development teams, providing technical input and launching major new features to external users.
• Proficient in backend development with Java, Python, or Go and familiar with modern development practices.
• Junior to mid-level frontend experience with technologies such as React and TypeScript.
• Significant experience with backend architecture, designing maintainable, scalable, secure, and resilient services, data models, and interfaces.
• A track record of technical leadership, driving decisions, mentoring peers, and improving standards.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience being on-call and responding quickly during an incident to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
