Data QA Engineer

What you will do

• Execute manual testing of data pipelines, dashboards, and SQL queries for validation.
• Design and maintain automated test cases for data pipeline validation using SQL and Python.
• Test data transformations from ingestion through model layers (dbt, Snowflake).
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to define test plans and acceptance criteria.
• Identify and report data issues, anomalies, and inconsistencies proactively.
• Work within Agile sprints and participate in story grooming and retrospectives.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in QA with a strong background in manual testing.
• At least 1+ years working on data-centric or analytics projects.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and validating large datasets.
• Experience validating ETL/ELT workflows or dashboards.
• Exceptional attention to detail with outstanding analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ease in a cooperative, Agile setting.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Python or similar languages for test automation.
• Familiarity with test case management tools or BDD frameworks.
