Sr. Systems Engineer – Audio Amplifiers, Consumer (Audio)

TL;DR

Senior Systems Engineer (Audio): Defining integrated circuits and solutions for consumer audio and haptic amplifiers with an accent on translating customer needs into detailed design and test specifications. Location: Hybrid in Austin, Texas. Candidates for this role must be able to access technical data without a requirement for an export license, which restricts nationals of certain embargoed countries from working in this position.

What you will do

• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to define system and performance requirements for complex IC designs including ADCs, DACs, Class D amplifiers, and DSP.
• Gather and consider product requirements, system-level components, design constraints, and trade-offs to propose viable IC specifications.
• Work with marketing, sales, and customers to develop consumer product audio and haptic amplifier roadmaps.
• Generate and author systems requirements and specifications for design, emulation, and test teams.
• Participate in architecture, IC-level, and board-level design reviews with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Evaluate ICs in the lab and perform thorough competitive analysis.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in applications engineering or product definition supporting low/mid power audio amplifiers, Class D amplifiers, or mixed-signal integrated circuits for audio processing in portable electronic products.
• Must be able to access technical data without a requirement for an export license.
• Ability to autonomously manage contending customer- and project-related priorities.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally approximately 2 – 5 weeks per year to work with customers.
