TL;DR

System Architect (Hardware): Defining and architecting next-generation solutions for mixed-signal audio, haptic, power management, precision sensing, and other solutions with an accent on requirements capture, analysis, concept feasibility study, and solution definition. Focus on collaboration with design teams on key architecture aspects and business planning around the Analog and Mixed Signal technology function.

Location: Must be based within commutable distance of the Edinburgh office, UK, or willing to relocate prior to beginning employment.

What you will do

  • Collaborate with customers, marketing, design, software, and applications teams to define next-generation solutions products.
  • Detail system and performance requirements generation for IC and accompanying firmware features.
  • Determine hardware/software trade-off analysis for key features and requirements.
  • Establish architecture definition for complex IC/SoC designs.
  • Lead architecture reviews and participate in IC-level and board-level design reviews.
  • Communicate ideas and specifications to technical audiences.

Requirements

  • BEng/MEng and proven experience designing mixed-signal ICs and some experience performing IC architectural decisions.
  • Significant experience in architecting, specifying, and designing low-power, mixed-signal components for consumer, industrial, automotive or healthcare markets.
  • Good knowledge of analog and mixed-signal IC design techniques.
  • Broad system-level knowledge across wider application space.
  • Strong analytical and modelling skills.
  • Excellent commercial awareness.
