TL;DR

Senior Analog Design Engineer (Mixed-Signal IC): Developing and optimizing mixed-signal integrated circuits for consumer, automotive, and power management applications with an accent on detailed transistor-level design and sub-system leadership. Focus on solving complex mixed-signal product challenges, developing advanced solutions in CMOS processes, and overseeing layout implementation.

Location: Hybrid in Edinburgh, UK. Must be based within commutable distance or willing to relocate to the UK.

Company

hirify.global is a product company known for its mixed-signal processing expertise, solving complex challenges for top consumer brands with an award-winning culture.

What you will do

  • Own and develop advanced solutions for complex mixed-signal products and circuitry from concept to production.
  • Model solutions using tools such as Matlab, Simulink, Spectre, and AMS Designer.
  • Implement transistor-level design and verify analog/mixed-signal building blocks (e.g., A/D, D/A converters, LDOs, PLLs).
  • Oversee layout implementation and perform post-layout simulations and optimization.
  • Conduct hands-on lab checkout, silicon learning, and debug.
  • Support post-silicon activities including product validation, characterization, and production test.

Requirements

  • BSc, MSc, MEng or PhD in Electrical Engineering with proven professional experience in mixed-signal CMOS circuit design.
  • Deep understanding of analog design flows, including architecture, design, and integration.
  • Strong skills in CMOS analog design and layout of high precision, low power circuits.
  • Hands-on lab test/debug experience with a range of lab equipment.
  • Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Must be based within commutable distance of Edinburgh, UK, or willing to relocate to the UK prior to beginning employment.
  • Candidates must be able to access technical data without a requirement for an export license, which restricts nationals of certain embargoed countries.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of discrete-time and continuous-time signal processing (ADC and DAC design).
  • Experience designing low-power/high-performance analog circuits.
  • Experience in system and behavioral modelling.
  • Experience designing for different CMOS processes and aggressive geometry nodes.
  • Understanding of scripting languages such as Tcl, Perl, Python.

Culture & Benefits

  • Highly collaborative team environment focused on inclusion and fairness.
  • Meaningful community engagement and enjoyable employee experiences.
  • Hybrid work schedule with 2+ days in-office, based on business needs and team preference.
